My education (BS and MS in Electrical Engineering) prepared me for work in international sales with GE and Hubbell, eventually starting my own company – Lumasense – designing and installing modern lighting design projects in the Mediterranean and Gulf Region. This allowed me to travel and live in Greece, Turkey, Dubai, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and my homeland, Lebanon. My main collecting focus is Lebanon, including military stamps & documents, along with Ottoman-era photography and Roman antiquities (I have an MA in History). Memberships include OPAL, APS, and the Lebanese Postmarks Club.

I live near Princeton, New Jersey, having come here originally to do graduate work in philosophy. Instead of pursuing an academic career, I became a cabinetmaker and custom furniture builder. I have also worked as a freelance book reviewer and as a describer for a stamp company (The Excelsior Collection). I belong to the APS, CCNY, and the International Stamp Club of New York, where I’m a frequent presenter. My collecting interests center on Greece and Turkey and other regions that were once part of the Ottoman Empire, especially those in the Balkan area
